Is this the future of tracks in Ableton?

Last week I took a trip to the future. No, I didn't discover the flux capacitor, and I didn't need 1.2 gigawatts to make the trip. All it took was an email from my buddy Leo Bernard. He let me know he was about to release a new version of AbleSet and offered for me to try it out.

I get this opportunity to check out "new" stuff quite often, but rarely does it have this kind of impact. And based on the reactions to my review on YouTube, it's already impacting a lot of you as well.

AbleSet2 may be the thing you've been waiting for to use Ableton Live fully for tracks.

Here's some of the new features of AbleSet2 that make it the perfect addition to Ableton Live:

Dynamic Guide Cues

I've been teaching this process for many years, and if you follow what I teach in my Tracks 301 course, your files are already setup for this.

Duplicate your guide cue track, move the guide for the current section, and name your tracks +GUIDE and +LOOP GUIDE and AbleSet will automatically switch to the dynamic guide while looping.

Section Jump

I get a few emails a month from folks asking for this. Now you can do it in Ableton Live!

If you're coming from Prime or Playback, this is the feature you've been looking for.

While you're in the Verse of your song, if you decide you want to jump to the bridge, select bridge any-time during your verse, and at the end of your section, you'll jump to the bridge. 🤯

You'll LOVE this feature.

Multi-File Projects

If you've got alot of songs you need access to at any point, building a Master Set of songs in Ableton Live is the best approach.

But, what do you do if you've got LOTS (meaning 100's) of songs? You could load them into one set, and MAYBE your computer could handle it??

But now you can use Multi-File Projects in AbleSet, and choose a folder on your computer that has all your Ableton sets in it.

Now when you go back to AbleSet, you'll see a setlist that you can re-order and navigate but each song stays an individual song file.
